My first experience with reiki was with a very progressive psychologist in Atlanta, GA. On that day over 20 years ago, I received an atunnement from him as a way to cope with anxiety. This atunement allowed me to work with my own energy systems to manage my stress. Having just completed a post-graduate degree in commercial photography and working full time in a busy studio, I was overwhelmed with debt and long hours. This introduction to energy work set me on a new path. I eventually left the city, moving to a small mountain town in Colorado, where I worked as a photographer and studied at the Light Running School Of Reiki. Settled in Portland nearly 10 years now, I am grateful to continue to learn and work with the biofield and the science that honors this ancient technique.
I continue to expand my knowledge and am currently studying to obtain my certification as a Spinal Flow Practitioner in late 2024.
When you make an appointment, you can experience traditional hands on reiki, to induce a deeply relaxed and balanced state of being. I use many vibrational tools in my practice including biofield tuning forks, sound healing, drum therapy, and many of Donna Eden's Energy Medicine techniques.

About Reiki
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."
A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.
Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.
